A place where nature and urbanization live in harmony, Burnaby is best enjoyed with both eyes open. Feeling refreshed and alert is imperative when it comes to living in Metro Vancouver’s third-largest city.

About Burnaby

Located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Halkomelem and Squamish peoples, Burnaby is a city worth exploring. In just one day, you can go from shopping at Metrotown, the largest shopping centre in BC, to strolling through some of Metro Vancouver’s most beautiful green spaces, including Deer Lake and Burnaby Lake Regional Nature Parks. Many residents can also be found hiking up Burnaby Mountain, with its spectacular views of the upper arm of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore mountains.

Home to one of Canada’s largest exhibitions and fairgrounds, the PNE, it is also the site of some of the country’s top education institutes, Simon Fraser University and BCIT.

Sleep Easy in Four Easy Steps

Achieving good quality sleep can be that easy.

In just two days, our clinical health professionals can assess your sleep disorder and then guide and educate you through your journey to a better night's sleep.

After an initial virtual sleep assessment, we will provide you with a free two-day, at-home sleep test that measures your breathing while you sleep.

Once the results are in, we will discuss the results, and if sleep apnea is detected, we will then set you on the best treatment course using Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. Not as scary as it sounds, CPAP is a proven safe and effective treatment that works by delivering pressurized air through a hose and mask into your airway while you sleep, allowing for clear air exchange. Your partner will love it, as CPAP is an effective treatment for snoring.

Worried about how wearing a mask will feel? Don't. Snore MD uses ACCUFIT software, unique to Snore MD, ensuring you have the perfect fit for your CPAP mask. Your comfort is key to the success of your treatment. We pride ourselves on finding the best CPAP equipment for a patient's specific needs.

We also offer trade-ins for all patients. Exchange your old mask and receive $100 off a new CPAP mask, or trade-in your old CPAP for up to $400 off a new CPAP. All masks include a 30-day guarantee, so if you're not comfortable with your mask, you can trade it in for another one.

When it comes to insurance, we will work with your extended health provider and offer interest-free payment plans. Our new patients can also enjoy a $200 rebate when they pay upfront.

Meet Our Dream Team

Born and raised in Surrey, Snore MD’s Burnaby sleep clinician Parveen Mallhi lives and breathes sleep - quite literally. As a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Parveen has helped Greater Vancouver residents access the best sleep treatments, including CPAP therapy. A graduate of the Respiratory Therapy program at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, Parveen attended university with her brother, who now works as an RRT at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Instead of working in acute care like her brother, Parveen decided that she wanted to work within the community. She had served as community RT for almost two years before joining the Snore MD team and says she enjoys developing a relationship, getting to know her patients, and learning about their sleep-related needs.

“Treating sleep apnea attracted me because I could help improve my patients’ lives,” Parveen says. “When you have that personal relationship with patients and learn about their families and what is going on in their lives, you can help them better because you have built up that trust.”

Parveen says that building trust is essential, as Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy, the best method for treating sleep apnea, needs to be comfortable to be effective.

“That first night during treatment is crucial. I encourage patients to speak up about any issues with the machine and mask. That way, I can provide solutions for comfort and ease of use,” Parveen says, adding that Snore MD has a wide selection of comfortable, non-invasive CPAP masks and equipment that can be customized to individual patient’s needs.

“Some patients are hesitant with CPAP due to it being so new. The best part of my job is when patients come back to the clinic looking refreshed, with more energy, and say, ‘Hey, it worked. I love my CPAP machine!’”

Providing Burnaby with Snore MD’s Care for Life Service

Known for providing friendly and respectful service in modernized clinics and with the latest CPAP technology and flexible hours, Snore MD is also known for its Care for Life program. Once set up with all equipment, all patients are contacted for follow-up appointments with their sleep clinician every four-to-six months. Check-ins are essential to see how you are doing with your treatment and to service equipment, as the machines usually require a new filter every four months, while masks need to be replaced every six-to-12 months.

Another Snore MD Care for Life offer is our free distilled water service. All Snore MD patients can drop by our Burnaby sleep clinic to fill up their provided water jugs with water to use in their CPAP machine.

With help from our Burnaby Dream Team, you’ll be climbing Burnaby Mountain with boundless energy and with both eyes wide open in no time. Visit Snore MD in Burnaby’s Kensington Square Shopping Centre or book your free virtual sleep assessment.
