Meet Rob Bauer, Sleep Clinician
Providing sleep therapy gives me an opportunity to educate & treat the patient BEFORE cor-morbidity (additional conditions as a result of sleep apnea) sets in. The intimate one-on-one patient interaction also allows me to forge relationships for life. Oh, and I'm a sleep apnea sufferer, so I know what sleep treatment can do!
Reflecting on my accomplishments, there are two main areas in my life that make me proud. Personally - finding my soulmate Nerissa who, while tolerating my eccentricities, has helped raise a daughter who is becoming a wonderful young woman. Professionally, leading many Community Respiratory offices, building teams who have demonstrated a commitment to the patient above all else and in joining SnoreMD, finding a perfect (corporate) match.
In summary, preventing illness and improving the quality of life is the most rewarding thing I've done as an RT. Affecting not only their life for the better but those they also live with.
